Yes, and it stays that way. No price, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. The Scripture licence it is built on requires the app to remain free, which suits me fine — that was always the plan.
No. There is no sign-in, no email address to hand over, and nothing to create. Open it and start.
Completely. The text and all of the narration are bundled inside the app, so nothing is streamed and nothing is downloaded later. Airplane mode changes nothing.
Check the ring/silent switch on the side of your iPhone and the volume while the app is open. Audio also stops if another app takes over playback — start the passage again and it will resume. If it still won't play, force-quit the app and reopen it, then write to me if that doesn't fix it.
Yes. Narration keeps playing in the background with the usual lock-screen controls, and there is a repeat mode for working through a passage on a drive or a walk.
Proverbs needs two permissions for that one station — Microphone and Speech Recognition. Open Settings, scroll to Proverbs, and make sure both are on. It also needs your iPhone's offline dictation model for your language; if that isn't available the app will say so and you can type your recall instead. Your voice is never sent anywhere either way.
Check Settings › Notifications › Proverbs and confirm notifications are allowed, then confirm the reminder is switched on inside the app and set to the hour you expect. Focus modes and Scheduled Summary will also hold a reminder back.
On your iPhone, inside the app itself — there is no account and no cloud copy. It carries over to a new phone through an iPhone-to-iPhone transfer or an iCloud/computer backup restore, the same way your other apps do. Deleting the app deletes your progress permanently.
Delete the app. Everything it held goes with it. Nothing about you exists anywhere else — see the privacy policy.
No, by design. This app does one book, in its own order, all the way through. If you need a general verse library, there are good apps for that and this isn't one of them.
The streak counts days you completed a drill, in your own time zone. Miss a day and it starts again — that's the whole mechanic, and it isn't a bug. Passages you've already memorized are never lost with it.

I keep a list, and real problems get fixed first. But the app is deliberately small, and saying no to good features is how it stays that way. If something you need is missing, tell me anyway — I'd rather know.
